Ivy then summoned a large plant monster and used it to confront Batman. She also explained that she thought that plants were in pain, but soon realizes that they were evolving. As Batman made it to the Gardens, Batman was about to inject the formula into the main plant, however, Poison Ivy stopped him from doing so. As Batman was leaving the Gardens, Joker ended up injecting Ivy with the TITAN formula. The formula reacts differently with her unusual DNA, greatly enhancing her powers over plants. Having her plants grow more powerful, she causes them to grow up all around the Island causing destruction and deaths of thugs and security guards.Īfter successfully creating a cure, Batman went back to the Gardens to stop Poison Ivy's Plants from getting too powerful and spreading to Gotham. But she also told him that the plants were in Killer Croc's lair.īefore he left, Batman told Ivy to return to her cell, otherwise he'll come after her. Ivy then told Batman that there's a plant that contains the spores needed to create a cure. He threaten that he'll destroy every plant unless she help him with the cure. However, Batman grabbed one of Poison Ivy's beloved plants and crushed it. At first Poison Ivy wanted nothing to do with helping Batman, so she tries to kill him. Later on, Batman needed to find a cure for the TITAN formula and asked for Poison Ivy's assistance. In Arkham Asylum, Harley Quinn releases her from her cell as a favor to her friend. She is also a minor antagonist in the 2014 animated film Batman: Assault on Arkham. She has been able to seduce everyone except Batman and this has become her other obsession.She is one of the three secondary antagonists (alongside Harley Quinn and Scarecrow) of Batman: Arkham Asylum, the secondary antagonist of Batman: Arkham City's Catwoman Episodes and a major anti-heroine in Batman: Arkham Knight, as well as the villainous deuteragonist of the latter's prequel DLC episode Harley Quinn. Ivy's powers have grown more advanced over the years and she is able to control plants. She hates all humans with the exception of Harley Quinn who is her only human friend. Origins Poison Ivy's most common origin story is that she was seduced by her professor into committing crimes with him. Ivy attempts to use her new powers to take over the asylum with her plants and when Batman returns to her it results in a fight between him and Ivy, her plants, and the security guards she has managed to take control of. The Joker injects Titan into the plant systems Ivy is assimilated with, hoping to create a kind of highly powerful mutant plant, but finds instead he gives Ivy the ability to evolve and grow her plants at an extremely fast rate. Batman leaves without harming Ivy but threatens her, saying that he'll be back if she does not return to her cell. Batman convinces Ivy that if she does not help him the plants of the asylum will die and Ivy informs Batman that spores for the anti-venom can be found in the lair of Killer Croc. Eventually Harley Quinn comes across Ivy's cell and after some discussion between the two Harley releases her.Īfter Batman discovers that the Joker plans to use Titan, a variant of the dangerous chemical Venom, to create his own army of mutants, he visits Ivy in the asylum gardens for assistance in creating a chemical to negate the effects of Titan, due to Venom being made from Ivy's plants to begin with. When Batman finds Ivy's cell in the penitentiary she urges Batman to release her so that she may save "her" plants, however Batman refuses. After the Joker and Harley Quinn raid Arkham Asylum, trapping Batman and the guards inside, and releasing most of the inmates, Poison Ivy becomes very concerned for the well-being of the plants in the gardens of the Asylum.
